What should I do to my GMC Sierra 1500 truck first for a big gain in horsepower?

What should I do to my truck first for big gain in horsepower? I have an intake but I have about aN800 dollar price range and am wondering what to do first to give me that overall horsepower, top and bottom end. I would like more top end, I have plenty of torque.

I don't understand the " first " part ?

You said that you have an " Intake ".

Was'nt the " Intake ",,the first part ?

Now you must be looking for a " second " part.

That would be a performance exhaust system,,

This next step could give you a 7 - 12 % increase in hp.

But if you want a big increase in hp,,your going to need to spend a whole lot more than $ 800.00 dollars.

You're unlikely to get a big gain in HP for $800. You don't mention what you are starting out with either - These came with 4.8, 5.3, 6.0 v-8s. You could trade for an older 454 SS.
