where is the fuel filter on a 2001 Grand Marquis

It is on the frame rail on the passenger side, just behind the rear door. I cannot remember if it is in front or rear of the rear axle.

It is a very easy item to replace. The only issues is to let the car sit for a few hours to let the fuel pressure drop, and there are two plastic u shaped clips that hold the fuel line on both ends of the filter. Some filters come with them, some do not. They can easily break removing the filter, so you may not be able to reuse the old ones.
