    First this won't defuel if it loses oil pressure, so keep that in mind. The oil pressure sender should be at the rear, top of the engine block. It is connected directly to the PCM which sends the oil pressure data to the instrument cluster on the data bus. That means a scan tool (preferrably the Tech II) can be used to see the pressure that the PCM is seeing from the sensor, and from there the bi-directional commands from the scan tool can be used to command the gage to move for testing the instrument cluster.
